Stetson Athletics Winter and Spring Sports Challenge Generates New Record


Stetson Athletics held its annual Winter and Spring Sports Giving Challenge from Monday, Nov. 11, to Friday, Nov. 15.
Due to the generous support of Stetson Athletics’ supporters, families and friends, this year’s fundraising campaign set a new giving record with 322 donations resulting in an 8% increase over last year’s Winter and Spring Sports Giving Challenge fundraising totals.

“We are extremely proud of the results on the Winter and Spring Challenge and thankful to our Hatter community,” Director of Athletics Ricky Ray said. “We are proud of our students and their accomplishments, and are thrilled with the philanthropic support in their honor.”
During the annual campaign, donors can specify which winter or spring sport their gift will benefit — baseball, men’s basketball, women’s basketball, men’s golf, women’s golf, lacrosse, softball, men’s rowing, women’s rowing, men’s tennis, women’s tennis and beach volleyball.
In August, Stetson Athletics hosted its Fall Sports Giving Challenge where Hatter fans had the opportunity to support fall sports — cheer, men’s cross country, women’s cross country, football, men’s soccer, women’s soccer and volleyball.
All gifts during the annual giving challenge campaigns directly impact the Stetson student-athlete experience by providing funding for operational expenses such as scholarships, travel, nutrition and equipment.
Every gift to Stetson Athletics during the annual challenge campaigns make a difference and assist in advancing its mission of providing an exceptional experience for each of its student-athletes. Stetson Athletics is grateful for every contribution and acknowledges each of its donor’s valuable support.
