2025 Spring Internship & Career Expo A ‘Big Success’

The 2025 Spring Internship & Career Expo was, in the words of Liz Connor, Stetson’s director of Career Success, a “big success.”

Held Friday, Feb. 21, noon-3 p.m., at the Rinker Field House, the expo was Stetson’s first such springtime event since 2019 (before the COVID-19 pandemic), ushering in a return to fall and spring expos going forward on campus.

Approximately 47 organizations met with more than 236 students, who also were offered professional headshots by And You Films, along with Cultural Credit. Also, representatives from Stetson’s graduate programs and the College of Law were present to discuss graduate school opportunities. There was even a mascot sighting, as John B. Stetson made an appearance.

“It was wonderful seeing attendees leave with newfound confidence, valuable connections, and potential job and internship opportunities,” described Connor. “The success of career events like this highlights the importance of providing career development and reinforces the impact of networking in professional and personal growth. 

 “Attendees gained firsthand exposure to various career paths and opportunities, including internships, while recruiters and representatives said they identified great talent.”

Raghib Tyler, a technical recruiter with EA Sports, was among the prospective employers impressed by what he saw.

“My experience has been very positive,” Tyler commented. “I had an opportunity to speak with all types of great students, whether they’re more technical in nature or from more of a functional business marketing and branding background. The students here at Stetson always come motivated and prepared with such great questions about a career path in gaming with EA Sports. I’m definitely looking forward to working with these students in the future.”

John B. Stetson also visited with the employers and sponsors.

Connor gave special thanks to Stetson’s Presidential Fellows, Beta Alpha Psi and Alpha Kappa Psi for volunteering, hosting employers and generally assisting with the event.
