Second Stage Theatre at Stetson presents: The Revolutionists

Second Stage Theatre at Stetson will close its 119th season with Lauren Gunderson’s The Revolutionists, which will run from Thursday, April 24, through Sunday, April 27.
Who runs the world?! Girls! A striking portrayal of four women who are fierce, bold and unapologetic living loudly and without persuasion in Paris 1793. Lauren Gunderson writes about camaraderie and then some in this dark comedy, fueled by the fervor of these feminine archetypes. Through the lens of theatrical expression, The Revolutionists depicts a mix of history and a bit of fun while reminding us that “sometimes a revolution, needs a woman’s touch.”
“Artists are expected to be mirrors of life, to reflect its absurdities and challenge its wrongs,” said Director Rachel Yadanza. “I know, after working with these incredible performers, that they will do just that. All four of them are strong, fearless forces of nature. And together, we are ready for a revolution.”
The cast of The Revolutionists includes:
Reed Barkowitz as Olympe de Gouges, Nav Wallace as Marianne Angelle, Samantha Mariji as Marie Antoinette and Molly Monahan as Charlotte Corday.
