On the Aug. 23 broadcast of The Attorney Patrick Smith Show, Stetson and Stetson’s College of Law literally ruled the day, highlighted by College of Law Dean Benjamin Barros, JD, and undergraduate student Madison Lavender, a. sophomore. In the words of Barros, the show became an “hour-long advertisement for Stetson and Stetson Law.” Patrick Smith, JD, is a 2002 graduate of Stetson’s College of Law.

As reported in the article Meet an NVIDIA Cloud Security Architect Keeping AI Safe, alumna Laura Seletos’ curiosity about security was sparked at Stetson, where she majored in Computer Information Systems and graduated in 2012. The article was posted on Aug. 18 by NVIDIA, which specializes in Information Intelligence.

Professor of Psychology Chris Ferguson, PhD, was part of the Aug. 19 article Attention, Anxiety and Addiction: Are Smartphones and Social Media to Blame for Kids’ Mental Health? It was published by USSA News. Also, Ferguson appeared in MSN’s mid-August article Is Conscientiousness Cratering? It Depends on How You Twist the Data. In addition, Ferguson contributed to the Aug. 27 article Are Smartphones and Social Media Hurting Kids’ Mental Health? The article was published by Survival World.

On July 23, alumna Zoë Weaver-Lee was a featured part of Taiwan’s Unofficial Diplomacy in Asia, published by the Global Taiwan Institute. She graduated from Stetson in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in Global Development and minors in Political Science and Asian Studies.
