Stetson’s Theatre Arts and Stetson Opera Theatre presents In Pieces: A New Musical by Joey Contreras

Second Stage Theatre at Stetson University continues its 120th season with In Pieces: A New Musical by Joey Contreras, which runs from Thursday, Oct. 30, to Sunday, Nov. 2.

In Pieces: A New Musical is a contemporary song cycle that weaves together the lives of eight individuals as they navigate love, self-discover and the pivotal moments that define them. With a vibrant, pop-driven score, this musical captures the highs and lows of relationships — past, present and future — revealing how every experience shapes who we become. Authentic, heartfelt and deeply relatable. This musical is a moving exploration of identity, growth, and acceptance, resonating with anyone who has ever faced a turning point in their life.

According to Director and Professor of Voice Olivia Yokers, “This production has been a heartfelt collaboration between Stetson Theatre Arts and Stetson Opera Theatre. Together, our students have created something personal and honest. Each song is a window into the human experience; a reminder that our choices, even the small ones, shape the people we are becoming.”
