On Nov. 18, research to identify a cancer-causing virus was chronicled in “Research on better treatments for the deadliest melanoma continues in Central Florida,” which appeared on Yahoo and other sites.

The Center for Public Opinion Research was highlighted in the Nov. 1 story “Survey: More Central Florida businesses fret about prospects,” published by the Orlando Sentinel.

Also on Nov. 1, the Orlando Sentinel reported about work from Stetson’s Center for Public Opinion Research in “Survey: More Central Florida businesses fret about prospects amid economic uncertainty.”

Professor Rajni Shankar Brown, PhD, Stetson’s Jessie Ball duPont Endowed Chair of Social Justice Education, was included in “ABAC professor to lead conference as GSA president,” published Oct. 29 by the Tifton Gazette.

Stetson’s Institute for Water and Environmental Resilience was included in the Oct. 22 coverage “Fine’s national park bill is a longshot, but debate has shined spotlight on saving springs,” published by The Daytona Beach News-Journal and other media outlets.

On Oct. 21, numerous outlets covered Stetson’s exhibit honoring its namesake, John B. Stetson. Coverage ranged from “Discover John B. Stetson’s Hidden Legacy: Rare Personal Items Unveiled at University Exhibit” by WFTV-TV to “John B. Stetson Company history, hats to be exhibited at Stetson University in DeLand” by the Daytona Beach News-Journal.

On Oct. 12, Stetson’s School of Music dean was featured in “Wash­ington García teaches the next gen­er­ation of musicians at Stetson Uni­versity” by Spectrum News.
