Taking flight: On April 1, in a moment that transcended the softball matchup between the Hatters the Florida Gators, the action stopped at Stetson’s Patricia Wilson Field for the launch of NASA’s Artemis II rocket. Just a short distance from Florida’s Space Coast, Stetson’s campus provided a unique vantage point for the launch. The media coverage was widespread. Former Hatters baseball player Jackson Olson was chronicled by media such as the Stamford Advocate in “Savannah Bananas star and CT native Jackson Olson headed to ‘Dancing with the Stars’ Season 35.”

Jason Evans, PhD, professor of Environmental Science and Studies, appeared in numerous media outlets, including Treasure Coast Newspapers’ “Rising temperatures endanger human health, wildlife and aquatic life.”
