Stetson’s School of Business Administration has successfully earned reaccreditation for its business and accounting programs from AACSB International, recognized worldwide as the highest standard of quality in business education.

Stetson initially was accredited in 1996 and for 30 years has belonged to an elite group of business schools to achieve dual accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.

“The extension of our dual AACSB accreditation for another six years affirms the exceptional quality of our business and accounting programs,” said Yiorgos Bakamitsos, PhD, Dean of Stetson’s School of Business Administration and Professor of Marketing.

“Stetson is one of only 194 schools worldwide to hold this distinction, reflecting the dedication of our faculty and staff, the unique learning opportunities available to our students, and the strong outcomes our graduates achieve,” he said.

Earning AACSB accreditation is a rigorous process that includes in-depth assessments and peer-reviewed evaluations to ensure business schools meet the highest standards of academic excellence, innovation and continuous improvement. 

“Every AACSB-accredited school has demonstrated a focus on excellence in all areas, including teaching, research, curricula development, and student learning,” said Stephanie M. Bryant, executive vice president and chief accreditation officer of AACSB. “The intense peer-review process exemplifies their commitment to quality business education.”
