GALLIFORMES - Neither species is common on the public use areas of the refuge.
|Northern Bobwhite are more typical of mixed upland habitat than the wetland habitats that make up the majority of the public use area, but they are such wide-ranging birds that they almost certainly occur in the upland woodlands and the adjoining open habitats on the east boundary of the refuge.|
|Wild Turkeys are also unusual in the public use areas of the refuge, but occur in the wooded habitats on occasion.|
