Few Baptist churches commandeered in rebel territory

TERRORISTS HAVE SEIZED BAPTIST CHURCHES IN FOUR CITIES OF LUHANSK REGION

This was reported to UNN [Ukrainian National News] by the press service of the Luhansk provincial state administration.

 

"During 2015 and the first quarter of 2015, terrorists formations seized houses of worship of the congregations of Baptist churches in the cities of Gorskoe, Antratsit, Luhansk, and Krasnyi Luch," the report says.

 

As noted by the press service, the total number of congregations of believers of the church of Evangelical Christians-Baptists in Luhansk province at the beginning of the conduct of the ATO [Anti-Terrorism Operation] comprised 77 units (around 6,000 believers).  In territory of the province under the control of Ukrainian authorities, 34 congregations are functioning.
