REVIEW OF DECISION OF RUSSIAN SUPREME COURT WITH RESPECT TO JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES SCHEDULED FOR 17 JULY 2017
Jehovah's Witnesses in Russia, 1 June 2017
The hearing on the appeal of the decision of the Russian Supreme Court of 20 April 2017 regarding the liquidation of the religious organization "Administrative Center of Jehovah's in Russia" has been scheduled for 17 July2017.
The appeal was filed on 19 May 2017 by the Administrative Center.
In addition, corresponding appeals were sent from all 395 liquidated local religious organizations of Jehovah's Witnesses. The court's decision also affected the rights of separate citizens, and therefore no fewer than 400 appeals have been sent to the court in the names of individual persons.
