ASHA RESIDENT
FINED FOR PROPAGANDA OF JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES' IDEAS
Previously a court ruled to hold a man accountable on the basis of article 5.26 of the Code of Administrative Violations of Law of the RF—"missionary activity conducted with violation of the requirements of legislation." According to the account of the investigation, a resident of Asha of Cheliabinsk province organized in a private home worship services and meetings of Jehovah's Witnesses, an organization that is forbidden on the territory of the RF by decision of a court.
After the preacher was convicted, he submitted an appeal, which was considered yesterday by a city court. In the end, the decision of the court of first instance was left without change.
We recall that last spring the religious organization of Jehovah's Witnesses was recognized as extremist and banned in the RF. (tr. by PDS, posted 19 September 2017)
