PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE IN CHELIABINSK BEGINS CHECK OF PROTESTANT ORGANIZATIONS

In Cheliabinsk province, in the context of a prosecutorial inspection, protestant associations are being required to provide information about themselves.
In November 2017, several protestant congregations of Cheliabinsk province received letters from the prosecutor's office with a demand to provide information about their organization.
No later than a deadline indicated in the letter, it is required to report:
--whether citizens voluntarily joined the religious organization;
--whether the organization is registered as a legal entity'
--whether the name of the organization contains information about the religious confession and whether the full name is indicated during conduct of activity;
--whether members of the religious group who conduct missionary activity have in their possession a decision of the group granting them appropriate authorization and other documents required by law;
--whether missionary activity is conducted in residences;
--a list of persons who conduct missionary work in the name of the organization and also information about other citizens, including foreigners, who conduct such activity.
