SECT. OF STATE POMPEO SPEAKS WITH METROPOLITAN EPIFANY
American Secretary of State Michael Pompeo conducted a telephone conversation with the primate of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (PTsU), Metropolitan Epifany. This was reported in the State Department of the U.S.A., Radio Svoboda reports.
"Secretary Michael Pompeo today conducted a telephone conversation with the newly elected primate of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, Metropolitan Epifany, emphasizing the support of the U.S.W. for religious freedom and Ukrainian sovereignty," the report says.
Pompeo called for respect for the right of Ukrainians to freedom of religions confession. (tr. by PDS, posted 19 December 2018)
