PARISH OF FORMER UPTsMP IN KIEV REGION TRANSFERS INTO ORTHODOX CHURCH OF UKRAINE
A parish of the former Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate (UPTsMP) in the village of Morozovka of Baryshevka district of Kiev oblast joined the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (PTsU). This was reported by Metropolitan of Pereiaslav-Khmelnitsky and Vishnev Alexander of the PTsU on Facebook, UNIAN reports.
"The Holy Dormition parish of the village of Morozovka of Kiev oblast joined the Orthodox Church of Ukraine," he declared.
Alexander Drabinko also posted under his message the request of a cleric of the Borispol diocese of the former UPTsMP about joining the PTsU and his order regarding accepting the parish into the bosom of the united local Orthodox Church of Ukraine.
It is noted that a "temporary ukase was issued for Nikolai Brega to the effect that, in consideration of your request, you and the parish in honor of the Dormition of the Mother of God in the village of Morozovka of Baryshevka district of Kiev oblast, where you are the rector, are received into the Orthodox Church of Ukraine by us, Metropolitan of Pereiaslav-Khmelnitsky and Vishnev Alexander, who acts in accordance with the authority granted by Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew."
