THREE UPTsMP PARISHES IN RIVNE REGION TRANSFER TO LOCAL CHURCH AT SAME TIME
Three religious communities of the Moscow patriarchate transferred under the jurisdiction of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine in the Rivne region. This was reported by the chairman of the Zdolbuniv district administration, Sergei Kondrachuk, on Facebook.
"Today yet another religious community of the Zdolbuniv area made a historic decision for itself and at a legal parish meeting, in accordance with its charter, decided to change its canonical and organizational subordination and to join the united local Orthodox Church of Ukraine. I am talking about the parish of the Elevation of the Holy Cross of Rivne diocese of the UPTs of the village of Kopytkovo, Zdolbuniv district," Kondrachuk noted.
A similar event was reported on Facebook by the Ukrainian people's deputy Andrei Lozovoi. "Only two communities transferred into the local church in Rivne oblast, Vladyka Ilarion reported. Both are in the Kostopil district: one in the village of Zbuzh and the second in Malaia Liubasha," Lozovoi noted. (tr. by PDS, posted 28 January 2019)
