The decision to transfer from the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate (UPTsMP) into the newly formed autocephalous Orthodox Church of Ukraine (PTsU) has now been made by more than 500 parishes. This was reported on 17 March by TSN.
The leader in the activity of transfers remains Volyn oblast. There the number of parishes that have left the Moscow patriarchate has already exceeded 100, while the total number of registered parishes of this church in the region is a bit more than 600.
A substantial number of parishes have also made the decision to transfer into the PTsU in Vinnytsia, Khmelnitsky, Zhitomir, Rovno, and Lvov oblasts. In particular, in one of the districts of the Lvov region, all parishes of the Moscow patriarchate have transferred into the PTsU. (tr. by PDS, posted 19 March 2019)
