CHRISTIAN COURSE
"FOUNDATIONS OF FAMILY" STARTS 1 SEPTEMBER IN STATE SCHOOLS OF
UKRAINE
A
course for school
children, based on Christian principles, is appearing in schools
of Ukraine on
1 September. The author of the project is a specialist in
matters of family and
familial relations, doctor of philosophy, and author of the
course
"Foundations of Family," Adrian Bukovinsky, the Christian
megaportal
Invictory.com reports.
"Our
goal is to
reduce the number of divorces in Ukraine and to raise the
quality of
fatherhood. The Foundations of Family course should prepare
pupils for life in
society. The curriculum is aimed at socialization and the
acquisition of
moral-ethical and moral qualities," Adrian noted.
On 14
and 15
September, around 70 teachers in Cherkassy underwent training in
the subject
Foundations of Family for grades ten and eleven. This was the
eighth oblast
where the training occurred. The event was conducted with the
cooperation of
the Cherkassy oblast Institute of Post-graduate Education of
Pedagogical Workers
and with the support of the Association of Christian Teachers
and the
nongovernmental Reformation Movement.
The
goal of the
program consists in the deliberate preparation of the young
generation for
family life and the formation of vital, social, and civic
competency in matters
of marriage, family, and conscientious fatherhood. (tr. by PDS,
