According
to
information of the press service of regional customs, the
"Sacred
Scripture—New World Translation," which has been on the list of
extremist
materials since July 2018, was discovered in the automobile of a
citizen of
Ukraine.
The
book was
discovered by an inspector of the customs post and personnel of
the department
for the struggle with especially dangerous forms of contraband
during the
procedure of customs control at the motor vehicle crossing point
of the
Proletarian customs post. According to information of the
agency, the book is
used in religious activity by Jehovah's Witnesses, who are
banned in Russia.
Now the
publication
has been confiscated and sent for expert analysis. Two
administrative cases
have been opened: for lack of or inaccurate declaration of goods
and for
noncompliance with prohibitions and/or restrictions on the
import of goods into
the customs territory of the [Eurasian] Customs Union. (tr. by

UKRAINIAN
WITH
EXTREMIST LITERATURE CAUGHT AT BORDER OF BELGOROD OBLAST
Customs
officers
made a discovery in a passenger car of the citizen.
A
foreign car of a
man who was traveling from Russia to Ukraine was stopped for
inspection at a
customs post in Proletariat. In the car's passenger compartment
customs
officers found a book from the Federal List of Extremist
Materials.
As

press service of the Belgorod customs, the literature that was
found is used
widely in the religious organization of Jehovah's Witnesses
(banned and
considered extremist in Russia by decision of the Supreme Court
of 20 April
2017).
For the
failure to
declare goods, a determination was issued for opening an
administrative case on
the basis of part 1 of article 16.2 of the Code of
Administrative Violations of
Law of the RF. For noncompliance with prohibitions on the import
or export of
goods from the territory of the [Eurasian] Customs Union, a
charging document was composed
on the basis of article 16.3 of the CAVL RF.
The
forbidden book
was confiscated and sent for expert analysis. (tr. by PDS,
