Stetson Law hosts a forum to educate seniors about frauds and scams on May 11 between
10 a.m.-11:30 a.m. at 1401 61st St. S. in Gulfport. Speakers include:
- Jack Shreve, Office of the Florida Attorney General
- E. Bentley Lipscomb, state director of AARP
Topics will include how the elder consumer can protect themselves against:
- Medicare Part D Scams
- Insurance and Investment Fraud
- Identity Theft
- Door-to-door, Telephone and Mail Solicitations
- Fraudulent Businesses
Light refreshments will be provided. Exhibitors include the Agency on Aging, Pinellas County Consumer Protection, Seniors v. Crime, Florida Dept. of Financial Services and AARP.
