WHY:
Expert speakers address the impact of the law on our global ecology. Presentations will address:

  • Everglades restoration
  • Controlling contaminants that affect marine mammals
  • Managing fisheries
  • Saddam Hussein and the Iraqi Marshlands
  • Ocean governance and protecting the coral reefs
  • Commercial tourism in Antarctica
  • Climate change impact on endangered species

Conference participants are also encouraged to attend a tour of Big Cat Rescue in Tampa on Jan. 25 at 2 p.m. and to join members of Stetson’s student Environmental Law Society to canoe or kayak on the Hillsborough River Jan. 28.
