Stetson Law Vice President and Dean Darby Dickerson created the pretrial competition to prepare students to be ethical and professional advocates and to advance skills tested in both trial and moot court competitions. The competition focuses on the components found in pretrial hearings. Competitors must write briefs, present evidence and make oral arguments before a judge.

The Young Lawyer’s Division of the Florida Bar Association and Stetson’s Center for Excellence in Advocacy co-sponsored this event for law students competing from across the country.
