First female Lord Advocate of Scotland visits Stetson

 

Former Lord Advocate of Scotland Elish Angiolini talks with students at Stetson Law.

This summer, the first female lord advocate of Scotland lectured at Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport, Fla.

 

Scotland’s former lord advocate, Elish Angiolini, co-taught a summer course with Stetson Law professor and Center for Excellence in Advocacy Director Charles Rose on Comparative Criminal Justice Systems: Scottish, Civil, and Common Law.

 

Angiolini talked with students about the history of Scottish law, the development of Scotland’s unique legal system and the impact of the global war on terror on criminal justice in the UK.  She also discussed the experience of serving as the senior law officer and first female lord advocate of Scotland.
