Stetson hosts free consumer protection expo in April

The public is invited to learn about consumer protection and the latest scams and fraud targeting older Americans at Stetson’s Elder Consumer Protection Expo on Wednesday, April 24, 9:30 a.m.-2 p.m., at Stetson’s Gulfport campus, 1401 61st St. S.

Stetson’s Elder Consumer Protection Expos will provide services including an on-site document shredding drop-off, Do-Not-Call/Opt-Out registration, and free credit reporting services to help guard against identity theft.

Presenters from local and state organizations and agencies will provide information and answer questions during the event.

Attendees will be treated to a free continental breakfast, boxed lunch and door prizes.
