“Because elder law is not a specialty in the legal profession in Israel, elder advocates such as Professor Doran see robust elder law clinics at law schools as essential to moving the legal profession toward elder law,” said Professor Flowers. “He invited me to speak at the two public law schools who have newly developed elder law clinics about elder law in U.S.”

While visiting and teaching in Israel in May, Professor Flowers also spoke with the staff at Tel Aviv University about their plans to develop an elder law clinic as a natural extension to their Holocaust survivors clinic.
