A reception followed the game on Saturday night, honoring student scholarship recipients Marissa Marchena and Miles Hickman who received the Nenezian-Jones-Cooley Scholarship.

A committee established the scholarship in honor of the scholarship’s namesakes Rich Nenezian J.D. ’84, Jim Jones J.D. ’84, and Pete Cooley J.D. ’84, Stetson Law alumni.

Nenezian and Jones died young in their 40s, and Cooley passed away last year. Cooley worked with Bill Loughery J.D. ’84, Jeff Adams J.D. ’84, and other alumni to establish the scholarship.

Stetson law classmates, friends and family memorialized Nenezian, Jones and Cooley with this special scholarship for students who demonstrate a passion for balancing the rigors of academic work with extracurricular activities and intramural sports.
