Stetson University College of Law honored three extraordinary advocates during its annual Educating Advocates Teaching Advocacy Skills Conference in Gulfport, Florida, May 21-23. View a photo gallery from this event here.

Judge Luis Felipe Restrepo of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit received the Cornerstone Award, recognizing exceptional members of the advocacy community who work tirelessly to create learning opportunities across the profession.

Spencer Pahlke received the Edward D. Ohlbaum Professionalism Award, honoring an individual whose life and practice display sterling character and unquestioned integrity, coupled with ongoing dedication to the highest standards of the legal profession and the rule of law.

Mark Caldwell, curriculum project manager for the National Institute of Trial Advocacy, received the Lifetime Achievement Award for Excellence in Teaching Advocacy, for his work which fundamentally changed the way in which the world approaches the teaching of advocacy, during the conference.

The theme of this year’s conference was “Advocacy: Fulfilling the Promise of Experiential Learning.”
