Associate Dean Cooper has been selected Chair-Elect for the AALS Section on International Legal Programs.

Professor Anderson addressed the AALS Part-Time Division Section on "Out-of-the-Box Alternatives for Teaching Part-Time Students." She also was selected Secretary for the Section.

Associate Dean Bauer planned and moderated a panel called “Five Years After Katrina: Access to Education” for the AALS Education Law Section and was elected to that Section's Executive Committee.

Professor Rustad was named Chair-Elect of the AALS Torts & Compensation Section.

Professor Allen was re-elected to the Executive Committee of the AALS Section on Remedies.

At the AALS meeting in New Orleans last week, Professor Podgor spoke on "Criminal Causes of the Economic Recession" for the Section on Socio-Economics and on "The Transformative Effect of International Initiatives on Lawyer Practice and Regulation: A Case Study Focusing on FATF and its 2008 Lawyer Guidance" for the Section on Professional Responsibility. She also continues to serve on the Executive Committee for the AALS Criminal Justice Section.

Professor McClendon spoke on "The Financial Crisis as the Impetus to Reforming Executive Compensation" for the AALS Employee Benefits Section.

Yesterday, Professor Nagle spoke at the Tallahassee Women Lawyers' "Women Empowerment Series."

Professor Nagle was elected to the Committee on Recruitment and Retention of Minority Law Teachers and Students.

Professor Rozelle was elected Chair of the AALS Criminal Justice Section.

This fall, student advocates at Stetson University College of Law won seven major advocacy competitions.
