Østrup Skov Grimmedysse (Dolmen/Burial Chamber), Undløse, Holbæk County, Denmark
This dolmen stands in the middle of a farmer’s field near the village of Undløse. The entrance appears to be oriented to 150 degrees SE, possibly sunrise on winter solstice. It sits at 71 feet of elevation. The dolmen on the top of the mound is surrounded by 19 large kerbstones that have held the hill intact. The site is dated to between 3850-2801 b.c.e. There is a royal marker here. Nearby are two other dolmens. Photo taken June 26, 2004, at 4:20 pm.
