Derreentaggart Stone Circle, Beara Peninsula, Ireland
This stone circle stands at 217 feet of elevation and lies near the coastal town of Castletownbere. Nine stones are still standing, the tallest of which is 9 feet high. There is also an outlier stone. The site appears to be oriented to the vernal equinox, as the recumbent faces due west and the two main outliers due east.
