The Stetson University School of Business Administration’s Sport Business students recently had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of motorsports at the renowned “World Center of Racing” in Daytona Beach. Led by NASCAR President Steve Phelps, students were treated to an unforgettable experience, gaining firsthand insights into the inner workings of NASCAR and its ambitious vision for the future.

A special thank you  to Steve Phelps for generously sharing his time and expertise and providing invaluable perspectives on NASCAR’s strategies for brand development both on and off the racetrack. Additionally, we extend our gratitude to Gary Crotty, NASCAR’s Special Counsel and Stetson’s Adjunct Professor of Management, and the entire NASCAR team for facilitating this remarkable opportunity for our students.

Adding to the excitement of the day, students had the honor of meeting Lesa France Kennedy, Executive Vice Chair of NASCAR, which further enhanced and enriched their experience and understanding of the sport industry.

Overall, it was a day filled with learning, inspiration, and excitement. We are grateful to NASCAR and its leadership for their hospitality and generosity in offering our students this unique opportunity.
