The CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) Challenge Team, composed of students Max Miller, Isabella Thomsen, Sugeeth Sathish, and Braden Hill, won first place in the Florida CFA Research Challenge. The competition involved valuing a stock, writing a research report, and presenting their recommendations to a panel of judges from the CFA Society.
The students had been preparing for this event since October 2023 and faced teams from eleven other schools including University of Florida, Florida State, Florida International University, and University of Miami.
This is the fourth year in a row that a Stetson team has won this competition, highlighting the consistency of the excellence and knowledge our students bring to the table. The judges emphasized the quality, and thoroughness of our presentations and the polish of our competitors.
