The Lamba Delta Chapter of Beta Alpha Psi (BAP) experienced an exciting spring promoting excellence, responsibility, and ethics in accounting, finance, and business analytics. The chapter remained busy organizing events including visits from prominent accounting firms such as KPMG, BMWL, Meaden & Moore, and Grant Thornton. Additionally, they collaborated with John Sheehy, Associate Director of Career Development to host the spring expo, worked with the VITA tax volunteer program, and participated in a Rotary Club event for high school outreach. Continual efforts were made to foster relationships with the local FICPA chapter.  Additionally, the Business School Foundation Board extended invitations to two members of our chapter to participate on the board to encourage student engagement and program growth.  All of these efforts ultimately resulted in an upgrade to silver status for our chapter.

With efforts spearheaded by the Board of Directors, including President Phaedra Lee Harper, Vice President Tanner Nash, Marketing and Public Relations Officer Stephanie Vasquez, and Secretary Jackson Hockenberry, a private donation was obtained to provide scholarships for membership dues.

This spring’s graduating members include Sadie Jensen, Michael Martinez, Owen Murphy, Matthew Pinder, Cameron Spence, Annabelle Standish, Ty Van Seters, Samantha Kmetz, Jose Valcourt, Stephanie Vasquez, and Tanner Nash. Looking ahead to the fall semester, the chapter continues to seek enthusiastic candidates committed to careers in responsible financial reporting and eager to add this prestigious title to their resumes.
