During the first day, the students visited the World Trade Center, where they were hosted by Carlo Antonelli with Group M, the largest media buyer in the world. After that, they visited the Oak View Group, a company that owns and manages over 400 stadiums, music venues, and convention centers around the world. The final site visit of the day was with Barstool Sports, where students got a glimpse of the offices and studios of the company. While visiting Barstool, Stetson student Titus Wootson and faculty members Dr. Jones and Professor DiFebo were invited to join a live broadcast of Fish Bowl podcast. The students spent their evening with actor Dallas Roberts, who has appeared in numerous Broadway shows, TV series (The Walking Dead, Law and Order and Insatiable) and movies (3:10 to Yuma, Walk the Line and The Grey). 

For the second day of the trip, the students took a short train trip to Long Island to visit the New York Islanders in the UBS Arena. Hosted by Michael Sciortino, General Manager of the UBS arena, and Vincent Auletta, Director of Business Operations, the visit included a thorough behind the scenes tour of the arena, focused on the fan experience, sponsor activation, and hospitality. After that, the students returned to Manhattan and visited the National Hockey League, where they met with Stetson alumni Jim Haskins. Jim, Group Vice President – Consumer Products Licensing for the NHL, hosted the visit and showed our students the current marketing activities of the league and their efforts to grow interest and participation in the sport of hockey. He also shared some of his life and work experiences, providing our students with great advice for their own career ambitions and sharing tips for success — a perfect wrap for this insightful and fun trip.
