As we approach the end of another remarkable year, it is the perfect time to reflect on all that we have accomplished and look forward to new possibilities.  2024 has been a year marked with continued growth, innovative student programming, scholarly accomplishments, and student success.

I am proud of our students and all they have accomplished.  I am grateful for dedicated colleagues, faculty and staff, and their pursuit of excellence in all we do.  I am indebted to our Advisory, and Business School Foundation Boards for their unwavering support and commitment to the School of Business Administration, and our students.

2025 promises to be another remarkable year of continued success and beautiful opportunities!

Best wishes for a Happy Holiday Season and a successful New Year!

STUDENT COMPETITIONS & EVENTS

Stetson University’s School of Business Administration offers students enriching opportunities to participate in prestigious competitions and events at the regional, national, and global levels. These experiences allow students to showcase their skills, apply classroom knowledge in practical settings, and gain valuable exposure to real-world challenges while representing the university with pride.

Participating in these competitions allows our students to thrive in a fast-paced environment and to work under pressure, and it also gives them a chance to stand out during their college careers. Being part of a competition team is a great way to expand professional development as a student and to represent Stetson worldwide.

Student Appreciation Events

This semester, Stetson’s School of Business Administration hosted two fantastic events to show appreciation for its students and bring the community together.

The first of these events was held on Monday, Aug. 19, with a Welcome Barbecue to kick off the new academic year. Administration, faculty, and staff joined forces to warmly welcome new students. Attendees enjoyed delicious food, received Stetson swag, and connected in a fun and relaxed atmosphere before diving into the Fall semester. The event set the perfect tone for a successful academic year ahead.

Later in the semester, on Thursday, Oct. 24, students gathered in the Lynn Business Center (LBC) Lobby for Pizza and Pops. This event provided an excellent opportunity for students to take a break from their busy schedules, enjoy pizza and Schmancy Pops, and spend quality time connecting with one another.

Both events were a resounding success, with great food, lively interactions, and plenty of smiles. These moments of connection and appreciation truly showcase the supportive and vibrant community at Stetson. Stay tuned for more exciting events like these throughout the year!

Homecoming Tailgate

On Saturday, Oct. 26, the School of Business Administration hosted its Homecoming Tailgate, alongside the Roland George Investment Program (RGIP) and the Sports Business Program. Following last year’s success, this year’s tailgate also was a success, as everyone enjoyed a great time with good food, refreshments, games. Students, faculty, staff, and alumni showed up in great spirits and Hatter pride to enjoy this amazing event and make it a memorable one!

RGIP Luncheon

On October 20th, the Roland George Investments Program (RGIP) brought both students and alumni together at a networking event in Ponte Vedra, FL.

RGIP students Sugeeth Sathish, Niki Taropawala, Christ Furton and Max Miller, alongside Dr. Matthew Imes, the program’s director, had the opportunity to connect with a group of distinguished alumni, including portfolio managers and bank executives who attended Stetson in the 1980s and 1990s.

The event was hosted by alumnus Dan Glunt, who graduated from Stetson University in 1993, and Director of Development Kerri Carlyon worked with Glunt to organize the event and foster relationships with attendees. The event featured program updates on recent innovations and new leadership, including Dr. Imes and Professor Matt Hurst. On top of that, this event also sparked several discussions on alumni engagement opportunities.

The event was incredible as it successfully blended networking, collaboration, and an appreciation of RGIP’s enduring legacy.
