On Mar. 18, Christopher Ferguson, Ph.D., associate professor and co-chair of psychology, published an article on Huffington Post titled “Mass Media and Body Dissatisfaction: Root Cause or Just a Reminder?”

On Mar. 23, Accounting Today and Beacon Online News, reported that Stetson students continue to prepare income tax returns for local individuals and families through Stetson’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program.

Nature.com quoted John Jett, Ph.D., research professor of environmental science, in the article, “Scientists clash over lifespan of captive killer whales,” posted on Mar. 22.

Jason Evans, Ph.D., assistant professor of environmental science and studies, was quoted in an article, “Seas are definitely rising, but there is hope for U.S. coastlines,” published in Environment Guru and Alternet on Mar. 22.

Law Professor Charles Rose spoke with CNN for the story, “How does Gawker survive Hogan verdict?” The story ran in close to 100 national news outlets. Professor Rose also did a live interview with KPAM radio in Oregon on March 18 about limiting protesters’ access to presidential campaigns.

Dean Emeritus and Professor of Law Bruce Jacob is featured in the March 16 Ledger article, “Former Bartow lawyer recalls landmark case.”

On March 21, JD Journal and several other media outlets reported that U.S. News & World Report ranked Stetson University College of Law as the best law school in the U.S. for Trial Advocacy.

Law Professor Royal Gardner appeared on UN TV on March 21 for World Water Day sharing his expertise in wetlands.

Christopher Colwell, Ed.D., associate professor and chair of Stetson’s Department of Education, was quoted in the article, “Volusia’s teacher interns learn to make a difference,” published in the Daytona Beach News Journal on Mar. 18. In the same article, Stetson senior Jenna Premo talked on her experience as a teaching intern at Woodward Avenue Elementary.

On March 17, WLTZ and multiple outlets reported that Law alumna Carrie Cherveny joined Hub International Southeast as Chief Compliance Officer.
