Here are a few of our tips for finding grants and scholarships: 

1.       Include Scholarships and Grants on Your Resume
Receiving a grant or scholarship is usually an honor that should be noted on your resume. Having worked on scholarship award committees, I’ve seen where once a student has been awarded a scholarship by another group, the committee gives them the benefit of the doubt and awards their own additional scholarships.

2.       Research and Apply Regularly
Research and apply for scholarships regularly – looking for scholarship opportunities should be a habit, not a once-a-year activity! Start at the online portal of the Office of Student Financial Planning.

3.       Crowdsource Scholarship Info

Expand your search by asking parents, friends and organizations to which you have belonged where other opportunities may be available. The holidays are a great time to network for scholarships, and a successful scholarship application can make the upcoming semester more comfortable.
