Watch the Video: A Celebration of Stetson’s Core Values

As has been the tradition since the early 1990s, Values Day 2023 at Stetson promised a celebration of the university’s core values: personal growth, intellectual development and global citizenship. And on Tuesday, Nov. 7, that promise was delivered.

All totaled, the Values Day schedule featured 29 workshops during three activity blocks in the morning and afternoon, with the workshops facilitated by campus members and community partners. Other highlights of the day included the annual Global Citizenship Fair, a screening of the Remembering Innsbruck documentary and a culminating nighttime Blues concert. Students earned up to six Cultural Credits throughout the day.

Prior to Values Day 2023, Kevin Winchell, director of Community Engagement and co-chair of the Values Day Planning Committee, had commented that “we need to lean into the hard conversations.” It happened — but also amid education and lots of fun.
