Hatters Advance to ASUN Championship Game after Stunning 88-87 Win over Jacksonville

Stephan Swenson called game as the Stetson Hatters claimed an 88-87 victory over the Jacksonville Dolphins Thursday night to make it to the ASUN Championship game.

The Women’s Basketball team plays Saturday at 6 p.m. in the ASUN semifinals at the Edmunds Center.

Swenson saved the game for the Hatters with a 3-point shot with 21 seconds left to put the Hatters down one, and then another 3-pointer with only four seconds left to give Stetson the win.

Stetson will next host Austin Peay State University for the ASUN Championship game on Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Edmunds Center with the Hatters looking to earn their first-ever birth to the NCAA Tournament. The Hatters beat Austin Peay 83-82 when the two teams last competed in the Edmunds Center on Jan. 25.

For Sunday’s championship game, Stetson students get in free with a valid Stetson ID.  Courtside seats are $40 (Soldout); premium seats are $30; reserved and general admission are $25; and youth under 17 are $5. Buy Tickets.
