About the play:

Fen is a moving women-centered drama about the struggles of farm workers in rural England. After the Fens, or marsh lands, are drained and converted into farmland by international agribusiness corporations in the late twentieth century, the women face upheaval and discord in their work and home lives. Through a new awareness of their social and economic constraints, the women of Fen struggle to find some measure of control, and possibly happiness, in their lives.
