Bruce Jacob
Vandeplas Publishing has published Dean Jacobs's book, "Remembering a Great Lawyer: Harold L. "Tom" Sebring," which concerns our former Dean who also served as Chief Justice of the Florida Supreme Court (among other things). The book is based on a law-review article published in 2000 by the Stetson Law Review>.
Luz Nagle
Next week, Prof. Nagle will be giving a keynote address for an international organization in Nigeria; she also will be making a presentation to UNICEF officials and government officials in Nigeria regarding child trafficking. This week, she is participating on the internaqtional criminal law section panel at the ABA International Law Section meeting in Washington, D.C.

On Tuesday, Professor Nagle will participate in a public forum at Temple Beth-El in St. Petersburg on "Immigration in Americal." Professor Fox's article, entatively titled "The Law of Many Faces: The Ambiguous Origins of Reconstruction-Era Freedom of Contract," will be published in a 2008 issue of the peer-edited and prestigious American Journal of Legal History.

Carol Henderson
Carol spoke at the Louisana Judicial College Spring Conference in Lafayette, Louisiana, with Dr. Michael Baden on the "CSI Effect" on April 20. On April 23 and 24, Carol will be at the National Academy of Sciences in Chicago, where she has been invited to serve as a commentator at the meeting of the Committee on Identifying the Needs of the Forensic Science Community. She is also going to be interviewed by The New Yorker magazine for an article about forensic science.
