She originally pled guilty to second-degree murder and second-degree attempted murder, killing one of her sons and trying to kill the other.

Dave Sommers of the Tampa Tribune interviewed Adjunct Professor Nick Cox today. Twenty years ago, a man was sentenced to prison for aggravated child abuse. The infant suffered severe brain damage. The child, now a young teen, has just died. The coroner has ruled his death resulted from those injuries. The prosecutor wants to try the parent on homicide charges.
