Governor Charlie Crist, Stetson University College of Law and the
Florida Dept. of Law Enforcement will sponsor “Investigating and
Prosecuting Financial Exploitation of an Elderly Victim” on May 21 in
the elder-friendly Eleazer Courtroom on Stetson’s Gulfport campus, 1401
61st St. S.
Lt. Governor Jeff Kottkamp will introduce the program,
which provides training for law enforcement and social services
providers using case examples involving financial scams of elder
consumer victims.
Stetson Law graduates record number of students May 12 in Gulfport
A record number of 252 Stetson University College of Law graduates walked in commencement ceremonies on May 12.
Twenty-two
students graduated with a JD degree from the part-time class, nine
students with master of laws degrees and 26 students with both an MBA
and a JD degree.
Stetson Law moves graduation location due to smoke and visibility
Stetson University College of Law is moving graduation ceremonies from the Gulfport campus to the Pasadena Community Church, 227 70th St. S., St. Petersburg due to smoke and outdoor visibility. The commencement ceremony will begin Saturday, May 12 at 10 a.m.

Stetson University College of Law re-dedicated the Florin-Roebig Courtroom on the Gulfport campus at 1401 61st St. S. at 1 p.m. on April 19. One of Stetson’s premier teaching courtrooms, the Florin Roebig was renamed in honor of the Palm Harbor trial and litigation firm that made extensive contributions to the recently renovated space.
