Key West Lime Shoppe owner to speak at SU

KeyLimeShoppe-johnmeyerJohn Meyer, owner and managing director of Key West Lime Shoppe, will address the Stetson Entrepreneurial Group Wednesday, Oct. 15, at 9:15 p.m. The Stetson community and the public are invited to hear Meyers speak about his entrepreneurial experiences as a small business owner.

Meyer joined Kermit’s Key West Lime Shoppe in 2003. As a military veteran he brought many skills to the team, and opened up the DeLand Production facility to aid the Key West Shoppees. Located at 1842 Patterson Ave., # 8, in DeLand, Kermit’s Key West Lime Shoppe production facility is where they make their “non-pie” products, including “all those sauces, salsas, jellies and other yummy treats that take a lot of kitchen space that is non-existent in Key West,” according to the website.

Meyer has learned about the pitfalls and successes of business as well as scaling and handling economic depressions. He will provide tips, advice, and answer any questions regarding his experiences.

This public lecture will be held in room 124 of the Lynn Business Center, 345 N. Woodland Blvd. Cultural credit is available for Stetson students.
