SHOWCASE to highlight Stetson’s Research, Creative Arts

Showcase 2016Stetson University will be celebrating undergraduate research and creative arts at this year’s Stetson Showcase on Tuesday, April 12, from 9 a.m. and continuing all day.

All undergraduate students are eligible to take part in Stetson Showcase and any classroom project/paper, summer internship results, senior project, recital performance, art work, short story, poetry or other academic topic is eligible for presentation. Application and all supporting materials are due by Tuesday, March 29, 2016.

Stetson Showcase is a longtime tradition of celebrating the achievements of those who aim to foster an appreciation for academic excellence at Stetson University. Student presenters of all class years will share their research through presentations, portfolios, posters, readings, music and theater performances, art shows and multimedia work to the general public, presenting their programs in professional settings for various audiences including judges, faculty, fellow students and esteemed members of the community.

Since 1999, Stetson Showcase has highlighted undergraduate research and creative projects representing every academic discipline across the DeLand campus—from art to business to the sciences, students have had a chance to share the knowledge and skills they have amassed during their time at Stetson.

Classes will be cancelled on Tuesday, enabling students to attend the various presentations across campus. All events are open to the campus community and members of the public, free of charge. Students can also earn up to five cultural credits throughout the event by receiving program stamps at the presentations.
