A Weeklong Celebration of Interfaith Spirituality

The Department of Religious and Spiritual Life, the university’s chaplains and campus religious and cultural organizations have planned several events to coincide with Better Together Week on Monday through Thursday, April 9-12.

Better Together Week is a celebration of Interfaith spirituality when students of all faiths are encouraged to gather together in fellowship.

To kick off the event, join the chaplains and the religious organizations for Pizza on the Green Monday from noon to 2 p.m. Pizza will be served as long as it lasts, and there will be free Better Together T-shirts.

On Tuesday, join in Bag Lunch Convos from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Lynn Business Center Lobby. You can get a free bag lunch and discuss questions about life and spirituality with R+SL staff, the chaplains and each other.

Wednesday, April 11, is Yom Hashoah, Holocaust Memorial Day. Join us at LBC 108 at 6 p.m. for a conversation with Otto Weizenkorn. The grandfather of Hillel Secretary Katie Wadler, Weizenkorn will be at Stetson to discuss his experiences growing up in Nazi Germany. Eric Kurlander, Ph.D., will facilitate the conversation, and a short reception with the speaker will be held in the LBC Lobby following the talk.

Cultural Credit is available for this event.

On Thursday, the Multicultural Student Council will host a talk with prominent Muslim-American journalist Noor Tagouri. She will talk about “Influencing Impact Through Storytelling and Innovation.” The event will be in Sage 222 at 7 p.m.
