Speaking and networking with alumni was core to my Stetson experience when I was a student,” said Perez-Duel. “I am grateful for the guidance and mentorship that came from those relationships and ultimately helped me get to where I am today. I am so excited to return to campus and be on the other side of those conversations. I can’t wait to connect with current students and highlight exciting career opportunities at Delta Air Lines.”

Stacy Collins, executive director for Career and Academic Success, and Liz Connor, associate director for Career and Academic Success, attest that after visiting the Delta Air Lines headquarters and campus in Atlanta earlier this year, the corporate mission is more than a statement — it is a promise.

Connor said, “Delta Air Lines has a clear mission: ‘As a purpose-driven brand, we connect people to opportunities while expanding the understanding of our planet and the people within it. Both in the air and on the ground, we are focused on lowering our carbon footprint, furthering an equitable work environment that values diversity and inclusion and living these values in the communities where we live, work and serve’.”

Glen Hauenstein ’82

Glen Hauenstein ’82, president of Delta Air Lines, shared excitement with Collins and Connor about Delta Air Lines Day at Stetson and the opportunities Stetson graduates will have to connect to the mission of Delta Air Lines and discover careers there.

“The energy and enthusiasm that is buzzing on this campus is palpable,” said Collins.

Since the visit to Atlanta, Collins and Connor have hosted a virtual information session for students and planned this on-campus experience for students, faculty and administration to engage with Delta Air Lines employees.

The Delta Air Lines Day will feature a Day in the Life at Delta info session from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., followed by a chat/networking session from 1:45 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. in the Carlton Union Building (CUB), Stetson Room, second floor.

“Having Delta Air Lines on our campus is the sweetest culmination of a budding relationship between Stetson University and Delta Air Lines,” said Collins.
