Green, White & YOU Wins 2023 CASE Circle of Excellence Award

Stetson’s student philanthropy organization was honored for being “bold, creative and resourceful.”

By virtue of its efforts, Green, White & You, Stetson’s student philanthropy program, has been a winner for a long time.

Now, it’s a winner in a different category — earning a 2023 CASE Circle of Excellence Awards for Student Engagement.

Each year, CASE (Council for Advancement and Support of Education) recognizes best practices in advancement and outstanding people who contribute to the growth and understanding of the advancement profession. Meanwhile, the Circle of Excellence Awards “showcase the impact advancement professionals have upon their institutions and communities around the globe, every day.” In all, CASE membership totals more than 90,000 educational advancement professionals.

According to CASE, “Our 2023 honorees, from diverse institutions and teams of all sizes, are bold, creative and resourceful. They demonstrate how powerful it is when advancement teams champion teaching, learning, research and the progress that education ignites.”

Founded in 2016, Green, White & YOU is designed to teach the importance of staying connected to Stetson and educating students on how they can give back. The organization is comprised of fun, dedicated, philanthropic-spirited students who love their university. They work together to educate and engage fellow students through activities and more than 20 yearly events, highlighting Stetson as a philanthropic cause worthy of investing their time, talent, treasure and ties.

In turn, CASE described Green, White & YOU as “an admirable campaign for philanthropy awareness that is led by students and contributes to raising awareness across campus.”

Brittney Cunningham, assistant director of Young Alumni and Student Engagement, applauded the enduring commitment of Green, White & YOU participants.

“I am so proud of them,” Cunningham said. “Green, White & YOU students have worked so hard to help continue to build this program and a greater awareness of philanthropy on campus.”

Added Krista Bofill, MEd, executive vice president and chief of Development: “The Green, White & You students are our future alumni who will lead Stetson engagement for the next generation to enjoy. Capturing their interest before they graduate is the key. Brittney’s [Cunningham] leadership has taken this program to the next level, creating a waiting list for students who want to join.”
