Stetson students, faculty, staff, administrators and community neighbors gathered near Hulley Tower on campus Tuesday night, Nov. 28, for the 75^th Annual Yule Log Lighting ceremony.

Representing multiple different faiths, they shared “Celebrations of Light” and offered words of encouragement and hope. Traditionally a symbolic celebration, Stetson’s Yule Log Lighting represents the university’s ceremonial start of the holiday season.

This year, the cool, crisp weather served as the ideal backdrop to commemorate the “coming of light into the darkness” and the moment when the days “stop becoming shorter and darker, and begin to move toward light and warmth.”
