Sakina Manji (2013) created a series entitled Resonance Imaging as part of her senior thesis in ARTS 499 taught by Gary Bolding.
In her artist statement, she explains: “Resonance Imaging is a body of work I created to give visibility to the psychological and physical experiences of cancer patients and their families. The images are back-lit, as if they are x-rays placed upon a light box to be examined. There is a direct parallel between the way these works are created and the way an MRI or CT scan is produced.”
